Find out why some email addresses are not accepted during registration and what to do to resolve the issue.
- Some email addresses, such as those associated with institutional domains, may not be supported.
- If you use an unsupported address, you will see the message "This is not a valid email address".
- If the email address is already associated with an existing account, you will instead see the message "The email is not valid or already exists".
- Depending on the message displayed, you will need to use another email address or log in to your existing account.
Why does the message "This is not a valid email address" appear?
This message indicates that the email address entered is not supported by the system, for example because it belongs to an institutional domain.
In this case, to complete registration, you will need to use an email address from a supported provider.
How to complete registration
If you are registering for the first time and see the message "This is not a valid email address", follow these steps:
- Check that you have entered your email address correctly.
- If the address continues to be rejected, use an address from a supported provider, such as Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo or Libero.
- Enter the new email address in the registration form.
- Complete the registration and proceed with publishing your advert.
What to do if the email address is already registered
If you try to register with an email address already associated with an account, you will see the message "The email is not valid or already exists".
In this case, you do not need to create a new account: access the site using the email address and credentials for your existing account.
